- Recommended Maintenance: VIQUA high output mercury vapor lamps offer reliability and stability giving off the most amount of UV intensity in a compact design. The high output mercury lamps that are used in the Viqua systems have a one year life. For best results, the sleeve should be cleaned on a consistent basis after installation. Once the mineral layer becomes permanent and can not be removed, or the sleeve cracks or breaks, the sleeve needs to be replaced.
