Cretan Dakos Salad

Ingredients

  • 4 large Dakos barley rusks Erofili
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 200g feta cheese Parnassos, crumbled
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • Kalamata olives Alea
  • Extra virgin olive oil Aenaon
  • Dried oregano Gaia
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt Floros, pepper Batavia

Instructions

  1. Moisten the barley rusks with a little water and break them into pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and Kalamata olives.
  3. Add the crumbled feta cheese and mix gently.
  4. Drizzle generously with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and oregano.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.
